- Create
an atmosphere where teens feel safe and comfortable to express themselves
and their ideas.

Encourage teens planning teen activities.
- Promote
interaction between high schools and middle schools.
- Serve
as a representative in an advisory capacity on City of Redwood City
committees, planning for teen and citywide events.
- Act
as an advocate for teens.
- Foster
a greater involvement of youth in municipal government and civic affairs.
- Study
problems, activities and concerns of youth, especially as they relate
to municipal programs or projects of the City of Redwood City.
- Hold
forums on concerned activities, either alone or in conjunction with
other governmental agencies and community organization, as the Youth
Advisory Council deems appropriate.
- Review
those municipal matter referred to by the City Council or other City
committees and, as appropriate, make recommendations on those matters
